Baggage policies at Princess Juliana International Airport vary by airline, so travelers are encouraged to review their carrier’s specific rules for checked and carry-on luggage. For security and efficiency, all bags are subject to screening.
Prohibited Items
The following items are not allowed in carry-on luggage and will be confiscated at airport security:

Knives and cutting instruments, including razor blades, scissors, and metal nail files

Ice picks
Lighters, lighter fluid, fuels, pesticides, compressed gas cartridges, matches
Nail polish remover, solvents
Golf clubs and sporting equipment

Baggage check-in is done at your airline's check-in counter located in the Departure Hall. Signage and staff are available to guide you.
Baggage allowances vary by airline, ticket type, and destination. Please check with your airline for the most accurate weight and size restrictions.
If your baggage is missing, please report it immediately to your airline’s baggage services desk in the Arrivals Hall. They will assist you with tracking and recovery.
At this time, baggage storage services are not available at SXM Airport.
Lost & Found
For items lost aboard an aircraft or at the gate area, please contact your respective airline’s lost and found. If you lost an item in any other area of the airport, including security checkpoints and shuttle buses, call the Lost and Found Section at +1-721-546-7518. When leaving your details, please provide your full name, contact information (phone and email), and a description of the item. The airport stores lost and found items for at least 30 days; after that period, they are considered abandoned. Lastly, be sure to speak with the airport representative at the counter before continuing to your next destination.
