Quality & Compliance Officer m/f
The Quality & Compliance Department is seeking a Quality & Compliance Officer. The Quality & Compliance Officer reports directly to the Manager – Quality & Compliance and supports the execution of audit, investigation, and compliance monitoring activities across the operational departments and third-party service providers at Princess Juliana International Airport.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducting Internal Quality Assurance activities and Compliance Oversight audits in accordance with approved procedures and established audit schedules.
- Preparing audit checklists, collecting objective evidence, and drafting audit reports for review.
- Maintaining audit records, evidence files, and supporting documentation to ensure traceability.
- Conducting investigations as assigned, including evidence gathering, documentation of facts, timeline reconstruction, and preparation of draft investigation reports.
- Ensuring investigation documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with applicable regulatory and reporting requirements.
- Maintaining and updating the discrepancy register (bi-weekly) and corrective action tracking system.
- Monitoring corrective action timelines and supporting follow-up verification of implementation.
- Supporting and documenting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) submissions and ensuring required evidence is received.
- Monitoring regulatory requirements for changes impacting audit or investigation criteria and communicating such changes to the Manager – Quality & Compliance.
- Escalating compliance-related issues, overdue corrective actions, or documentation deficiencies to the Manager – Quality & Compliance.
- Producing reports on audit outcomes, investigation activities, and compliance monitoring results.
- Supporting internal and external regulatory oversight activities as required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum associate degree or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Quality Management and Compliance Monitoring principles and systems.
- Training in audit techniques, including planning, evidence gathering, reporting, and follow-up; an accredited auditor course is an asset.
- Knowledge of applicable ICAO standards, manuals, and regulatory requirements relevant to assigned oversight activities.
- Excellent reporting, documentation, and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Must be results oriented and able to work independently.
