SIMPSON BAY, St. Maarten (January 23, 2014) The Princess Juliana International Airport, (SXM) will soon be embarking on a project in which branded donation bins would be placed strategically throughout the terminal building. This was disclosed by SXM managing director, Regina LaBega, during a presentation she made to the Rotary Club of St. Maarten recently.

LaBega explained that donations would be collected for a different cause every month. Service clubs and other not-for-profit organizations are encouraged to contact the airport’s Marketing & Customer Service department at mcd@sxmairport.com, for further information on the project. The space allotted for each organization’s name/logo will be interchangeable, to reflect the “recipient” of that month’s donation. The donation boxes are set to be fully installed by February.

LaBega also outlined all the new developments at the airport and fielded questions from members of the club. The presentation was so well received that the Rotary Club has already invited SXM Airport to another meeting later in the year.
